A stroll around the meare, hopefully in some spring sunshine, perhaps a bit of site seeing at the windmill and house in the clouds before sitting down to some of our delicious Salter and King beef. Beach Clean & Tree Planting
10th April - Good Friday
Once again we play host to Thorpeness’ annual beach clean on Good Friday. Last year saw an enormous amount of people come and volunteer to help make our beaches and common a cleaner place. We continue to see a lot of coverage on TV and social media about the damage that rubbish, plastic in particular, does to the wildlife in our seas. That’s why it is more important than ever to have out biggest turnout ever to help maintain our beaches. Everybody meets here at The Dolphin for a warming tea or coffee at 10.30am. Exciting news!! This year Bill has also organised for a special tree planting. With the devastating fires we have seen recently in Australia and California it is vital they we do our bit and give back to nature. After the mornings activities head back to the Dolphin for a hotdog.
We are open all day every day over the Easter Holidays!!
Please remember you can now book your table online, but be quick as we will fill up very quickly. Please let us know if you will be bringing any dogs with you when you book.
On Good Friday the masses will set off from The Dolphin to help clean up the beach and plants some trees.
Easter Sunday sees Kerry play host once again to her now famous Easter Sunday Easter Egg Hunt. Meet at The Dolphin at 10.30am.
